The Hitman series of games is a hugely popular franchise with many versions that released in succession, with Absolution being the fifth installment. Agent 47 is a super assassin who is actually one among many clones who have been bred to become super assassins. Agent 47 is an elite assassin who works for the International Contract Agency, which is an association that provides a gun for hire. IO interactive and Square Enix are the two companies that developed and published the game. The level of detailing and game mechanics used in Hitman: Absolution required the use of the Glacier 2 game engine which was developed by IO Interactive.
Use the in-game features to your best advantage by applying the Instinct Mode which will allow you to predict the movements of the enemy patrol. This is a very useful feature, as often, you will find enemies in groups having number on their side. The ability to predict their movements gives you the freedom to plan your attacks carefully as you can see where they will be moving to and set up a good ambush.
The events that take place in Absolution are what has transpired since the events of Blood Money, the fourth installment in the Hitman Series. In Absoultion, 47’s handler Diana Burnwood inexplicably seems to have gone rogue, sabotaging the Agency’s data systems and exposing the organization to the outside world. Initially there are few clues that explain why she chose to go rogue. Her actions forced Benjamin Travis who is the head of the International Contract Agency, to issue a kill order on Diana and Agent 47 is charged with carrying out that order. He also has to find and return Victoria, a teenage girl who is under Diana’s care back to the Agency.
The single player mission proceeds as planned with Agent 47 finding and managing to hunt down and wound Diana, however, hesitates to kill her due to their long history of working together. This hesitation on his part allows Diana time to explain the situation to him by handing him a letter that she wrote, and asks him to keep Victoria safe, away from the Agency.
He manages to keep Victoria hidden away in an Orphanage for a while and contacts his informant by the name of Birdie. After he settles the matter about the girl, he discovers that Blake Dexter, the head of Dexter Industries wants to Use Victoria’s talents for his own nefarious gains. He also discovers that Victoria is the next generation of super assassins like himself who have specifically been bred for that purpose.
He takes it upon himself to keep her safe and away from the Agency at all costs. During the course of the game, she get kidnapped and taken to Dexter’s lair and the rest of the game involves the player trying to save her and come to terms with some loose ends. The game is designed for the PS3 and has a PEGI rating of 18.
